People come and see us asking for Invisalign, or Composite Bonding, or Veneers, and that is understandable as they might have heard something from social media, or their friend has had a particular treatment. But every person is different, and their smile should reflect that, there is no one size fits all. So here at Spires we use the latest digital tech, and Smile Design software to show you how your smile could look, take in any feedback that you have, and come up with a plan on how you can achieve your new smile, as well as the time scales and costs.
Well, in short, NO. Dentistry is often reactive. Pt asks for Invisalign, they get Invisalign, pt asks for Composite Bonding, they get Bonding. But we understand that once you correct one issue it is really easy to spot a second and third problem, and we want to avoid that. We are not reactive, and if you let us show you, we can highlight all the issues, and how we can correct them all in one go. In this way we don’t aim for good results, we aim for great.
Alyce, our Smile Coordinator, will meet you go through what it is you don’t like about your smile, what you are hoping to achieve and what treatments you are considering. She will then take a 3D digital scan of your teeth and a series of photos. These photos and scans will be used by our dentists to produce a 2D smile design, and a 3D Trial Smile. Alyce will then chat to you over Zoom about your smile design, the treatments suitable for you as well as the likely timescales and costs. If you feel that you are willing to go ahead we will schedule a follow up visit with one of our dentists who will carry out your consultation and carry out a Trial Smile* so you can see, in your own mouth, how your new smile will look.
*Trial Smiles are not always possible to carry out. It depends on the position of your teeth.*
No. Our smiles look natural and suit your face. We think a smile should be beautiful in a natural way and enhance you, not replace you. But we know that is not what some people want…but we are ok with that and our competitors will happily produce a false look.
